Organizer introductions

DRESSAGE TEAM

Close to the heart of the dressage team is, unsurprisingly, the creation of a high-quality dressage ensemble. This year’s courses are the creations of Alisa (Advanced B and kür) and Julia (dressage championship). The team has passionately maintained the familiar quality and set out to create modern elements for modern competition. The goal is that the achievements of this year’s team will remain alive for years to come!

SHOWJUMPING TEAM

Showjumping team will once again pilot the event this year with their solid experience in their fast-paced discipline. As usual, the courses have been created by Erika and Sohvi, who have also renovated and built the obstacles to their magnificent glory. Before the event, the showjumping qualifier team has filtered the best riders from the qualifiers to fight for the championship. The team brings show jumping to today by introducing team show jumping better to the hobbyhorse world.

WESTERN RIDING TEAM

We want to offer competition opportunities for everyone, including those interested in rarer disciplines. The popularity of western riding has grown steadily over the last few years.  This year we introduce a new western discipline, western riding, to the Finnish Championships and hope that this is just the beginning for western riding in bigger events.

VOLUNTEERING TEAM

The entire event is built entirely with volunteers, and the volunteering team makes sure that things run smoothly in every area of the event. The team acts as a link between jobs and their doers, and its goal is to inspire an even bigger crowd to make the world’s biggest hobbyhorse event possible. After all, the Finnish Hobbyhorse Championships is fully organized by the hobbyists themselves, for the hobbyists themselves!

PROGRAM TEAM

The program team conducts a dialogue between the holders of various program numbers and the schedulers of the event day. For an event to be successful, you need punctuality and clear guidelines on when and where different program numbers can be presented without disturbing and actually supporting the competition classes. However, the program numbers are created by the hobbyists themselves!

SPONSOR TEAM

Such a big and amazing event is made possible by partners. The sponsor team is responsible for matters related to the partners of our event. Tasks include, among other things, acquisition of partners and communication with them. The team’s work is long-term, and the longest contracts are multi-year.

SALES TEAM

The sales team is responsible for making sure that both bigger and smaller merchants get to present and sell their products at the biggest hobbyhorse event. The sales team manages the placement of merchants in both halls according to the wishes of each seller. This way, everyone has their own place and it’s easy to find the merchants using the map. An equal battle for dream horses can therefore start as soon as you enter the doors!

SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM

Social media team makes sure all information and news concerning the event is up to date in our social media on Instagram and Facebook. They also reply questions and other messages online. The illustrator of the social media team is Saija (@leeddesign_official) and she creates all the graphic content regarding the event. The other members of the team create and publish content online.

PRODUCERS

The main goal of the producers is to enable the smooth operation of all other teams and to maintain a humane, warm approach to the organization of the entire event. The helm of this ship is driven by the passion for the community of hobbyhorsing, the fire to learn new things and the love for creating unforgettable memories, especially for others (but also a little for themselves).

Contracts, licenses, security, budget and as much as possible of other dull work has been transferred from other teams to the producers. Similarly, the producers are ready to help in all other teams as needed.

Even though being a producer is responsible and scary, Vilma and Tiina face visitors, competitors, other organizers and sponsors as people and individuals.

“one should be less serious and more unhinged”, is the playful motto of this year’s producers.

SHOW CLASSES TEAM

The show classes team consists of official show judges who, with the necessary precision, handle the qualifiers and the judging in the competitions themselves. This year, the show classes team has come up with the idea of a show section and audience voting alongside just judging and thought about their implementation in practice.

INTERNATIONAL TEAM

As the Finnish Hobbyhorse Championships keeps expanding every year internationally and visitors come from all around the world, there is a need of language skills for organization ahead of time and for the actual event.

International team manages and answers to messages and questions coming from abroad, and helps our international competitors and visitors during the event day.
