When are the Finnish Hobbyhorse Championships held?

The Finnish Hobbyhorse Championship will be held again in 14.6.2025!

Can I come to watch the championships?
Of course! Spectators are warmly welcome. Buy tickets from here.

Can anyone volunteer or just people from Finland?

Anyone can volunteer and help out! Volunteers who work for about 6 hours will be provided with a warm meal and coffee at the arena for free, free ticket to the event and a T-shirt! There’s no job too small or big to be helped with. You can also invite your friends and family to help out!

Can I apply to be a volunteer even if I compete in one or more classes?
Yes you can. On the competition day, there are many bigger and smaller things to do, and in between you can also participate in the competition classes

How do I register for the SM competition classes?
You register for open classes with no qualification by filling out a form, and by sending it you participate in the lottery for starting places. Those who get in will be drawn from among all those who have registered. In order to get into the International Freestyle class, you have to participate in the qualifiers and pass them, as well as accept a competition place to get to the final.

If I want to compete in a open class, do I have to go through the qualifiers?
Competitors for the open classes are selected through a lottery. Only the International Freestyle class have qualifiers.

Which classes have qualifiers?

Only the International Freestyle -class has qualifiers. Read more on Competitors>Qualifiers>International Freestyle qualifying

How is the competition fee paid?
The competition fee is paid according to the invoice you receive by a certain due date. Payment at the competition venue or late is not possible.

When will the invoice for the competition fee be sent to the contestants?
Invoices will be sent to those who participated in open classes only after registration has ended and places have been drawn. Similarly, invoices will be sent to those who participated in the International Freestyle qualifiers only after the results have been published.

Do I need to buy a spectator ticket if I compete / sell?
The competition fee includes entrance to the Seinäjoki Arena. Sale/vending fee also includes either one or two entrances, depending on the size of the table.

When will the tracks of the open classes be puplished?
They will be published closer to the competitions during the spring.

What open competition classes are there?

Can i participate in the Finnish dressage and show jump championship and the show classes?

Sadly no, those are only for Finnish competitors.
