The Finnish hobbyHorse Championship offers visitors the most unforgettable experience of the year with hobbyhorses. The event offers a wide range of different competition classes, meeting new and old friends, and enjoying a diverse program and a sales area with over a hundred merchants. Learn more about the program here.
The Finnish hobbyHorse Championships are held at the 13,000 m² large Seinäjoki Arena, where we can compete in two large halls. Seinäjoki Arena is located a short distance from the city center of Seinäjoki.
Merchants, competitors and volunteers do not need a visitor ticket, as it is included in the competition and merchant fees. Entry for children under 3 years old and personal assistants is free. You can register to be a volunteer here.
At the event, the representatives of the organizing team can be identified by their t-shirts with the Finnish Championships logo and the word “STAFF” in front. Feel free to ask the organizers anything during the competition day. It is also important to us to provide a safe and bullying-free event, so if anything makes you feel uncomfortable, please feel free to contact the organizers or the security guards.
Safe event!
Our goal is to create a comfortable and safe event for everyone. That is why we are committed to following the principles of a safe space and we expect the same consideration from our customers. Let’s make this a safer event together!
Principles of a safer space:
- Respect the personal physical and mental space of others. Respect their right to self-determination. Do not touch others without asking permission. Remember that you cannot know another person’s boundaries without asking them. Ask for space for yourself when necessary.
- Do not mock, ridicule, belittle, push aside or embarrass anyone through your words, behaviour or actions. Refrain from judging their appearance, gossiping or perpetuating stereotypes.
- Do not make assumptions based on appearance or actions. Do not make assumptions about someone’s sexuality, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, values, socio-economic background or health.
- Give space. Try to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in a conversation. Do not bully others and give them a chance to speak up. Also respect the privacy of others and treat sensitive topics with respect.
- Listen and learn. Accept new topics, people and perspectives with an open mind. Treat every situation and challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow.
- Apologize if you have intentionally or unintentionally offended others.
If you encounter harassment or inappropriate behavior at the Finnish Hobbyhorse Championships, please let our staff know. We will take action!
