Show class qualifiers

Official Finnish Hobbyhorse Show Championships

Hobby horse shows are held to compare qualities of individuals, compete for their appearance and get feedback on the handicrafts.

One can compete in the official Finnish Hobby Horse Show Championships through qualifiers. In the qualifiers, official show judges will review the horses and the best of them will get to the finals.

The Finnish Champions for show classes will once again be crowned!

There will be three show classes:

  • Beginners-class is meant for new, freshly finished hobby horses that haven’t been to any shows before.
  • Advanced-class is for hobby horses that have been to shows and maybe placed before.
  • Experienced-class is for horses that have already gathered SERT-certificates but have not yet reached “Fn” or “Kep Mva Fn” -titles

These classes’ judges are Varja and Noora. Additions to the judges are possible.

The show classes are open for both mares and stallions. For all classes, the same presenter can register only one horse. Only self-made horses are accepted. Other stick animals aren’t allowed.

The show class qualifiers are open from 5.1.2026 to 31.3.2026.

The horse must be registered with the Finnish Hobbyhorse Registry in order to partake the show classes.

The audience favorite-vote includes all the classes’ participants. The audience can vote for their favorite horses of all classes during the day, and in the award ceremony the most voted ones will get the audience favorite-awards.

Participating in the show class qualifiers

The official show judges are Varja and Noora. Additions to judges are possible.

The qualifier registration is open from 5.1.2026 to 31.3.2026. After this the judges review the horses and the ones chosen for the finals will be informed via email.

The results of the qualifiers will be published on 1.5.2026. Everyone who gets through the qualifiers will get a link to a registration form, through which they can register to be among the finalists at Seinäjoki Arena.
