International Freestyle classes instructions and rules
- In the qualification round the participant films a video of the qualification program and sends it with the registration between 1st of December 2025 – 28th of February 2026
- Each competitor can only submit one video for judging and if a competitor submits more than one entry, only the first video received will be judged. A new video can only be submitted if there is a technical problem with the previous video and a separate email must be sent.
- Resolution of the video must be at least 480p
- Upload the video to youtube as private or public or drive (instructions below)
- The video must show the arena entirely and the competitor must be clearly visible in the arena
- The camera must be placed in a flat area that does not move (i.e. tripod, chair) in the middle of the C side of the arena so that the whole short side of the arena is completely in the frame.
- Using a person to film the video is allowed as long as the whole arena is in the frame and the video as still as possible. If even a small portion of the arena leaves the frame even for a short amount of time, the video will be disqualified.
- Filming the video from a ground level is not allowed. Camera or cameraman has to be at least 50cm from the ground
- The program must be ridden from start to finish without any pauses. Cuts during the video will result in disqualification.
- The video must have an original audio, do not use headphones during the performance
- The competitor must show the equipment from both sides of the pole to the camera directly after the final salute. At this point, it is also permitted to step over the front edge of the arena if the equipment requires it. You do not have to leave the arena gate after the show. We use SKHH ry’s rules in the riders equipment
- The performance arena must include all the letters. Make sure that both of the letters C and A are clearly visible. The letter can be a recognisable item for example a cone or a pot. The mark doesnt have to include the letter
- The 7x21m and 7x14m arenas and the the letters measurements can be found from the SKHH ry’s dressage guidelines
- The arena must be marked clearly. A drawn line or sport arena floor tapes on the ground is not enough. The borders of the arena have to be done with poles, a rope or with another object raised from the ground. The arena borders must be clear to the camera.
- You can ride the qualification program in 5x15m, 6x18m or 7x21m sized A arena. The size of the arena has to be mentioned in the registration
- The qualification round follows SKHH ry’s dressage rules.
