Attention, dressage riders! 📣
The qualification for dressage championship classes and International freestyle is closing on Sunday 1.3. If you want to participate, act now, as enrolling is not possible afterwards.

Western Event Showcase: Trail
While definitely a familiar event to those who follow western riding otherwise, trail is the newest all-around discipline to be added to the roster of the Finnish Hobbyhorse Association.
In this class, the basics of horse handling – familiar from Horsemanship and Western Riding – are taken into new heights on a pattern that consists of various obstacles. The biggest advantages for a trail exhibitor are careful and proactive riding, and maintaining an even cadence throughout the whole run – for example, the rider must back up as efficiently on a straight line, as they do in a winding alley! 💯
The exhibitors will ride the obstacles individually in the order and gait specified in the pattern. The run starts when the rider greets the judge, and ends when the rider finishes the last obstacle. Got an achy glitter-tooth? ✨ The overall presentation of the exhibitor is a scored sub-section, so this is the place if any to go wild with your competition outfit! The overall presentation score is added to the points gained from the pattern performance, and it will only affect an exhibitor’s score positively 📈
