Welcome to the third weekly newsletter of the Finnish Hobbyhorse Championships!
The goal of the newsletter is to gather all the important announcements from the previous week into one place! This way we can make sure that our announcements aren’t lost in the waves of social media algorithms.
This week, registration for the Finnish Championship show classes has opened, the first competitors in the Finnish Championship classes have been notified by email about their final spot, and the search for judges has opened!
Finnish showjumping championships infopackage!
Are you dreaming of competing at Finnish showjumping championships, but don’t know how to participate?
Or are you thinking about what participating requires?
Who can qualify for the showjumping championship?
• Any Finnish citizen can participate for open showjumping championship qualifications
• For junior showjumping championship qualifications you have to be born in 2014 or later
How can I qualify for the showjumping championships?
-> By competing at qualification competitions around Finland
-> By competing and earning SM-ranking points. Three (3) competitors with the most points can claim a spot! Mind you that the competitor must have over 10 points to be able to claim a spot for the championship
You can claim a spot without separate qualifications if:
-> You are the winner of 2025 showjumping championship
-> You have won a regional championships after 15.6.2025
Schedule for the dressage classes at the day of the event!
On the competition day, we will decide the 2026 dressage champions in the morning in Hall B from 11:00 to 14:00. 🕚 The dressage championship classes will be held simultaneously on the same A-sized arena, so the performances will take place alternately. Partly overlapping with the dressage championship classes, there will be open advanced B-class on a B-sized arena from 13:00 to 15:00. On the dressage arenas, the day will end in the International freestyle class on an A-sized arena from 14:30 to 16:30. 🔥
The advanced B class award ceremony will be held in Hall B on the competition arena for that class at 16:45. The dressage championship award ceremonys will be held at 16:45 in Hall A together with the showjumping championship classes. The International freestyle class awards will be given at the end of the day in Hall A from 18:00 to 18.30. 🏆

Attention for those who have earned a competition place through previous success! 🚨
Championship winners from the 2025 Finnish championship can claim a spot for the 2026 Finnish championship to the same level class! A junior winner can claim the spot if they are still young enough to compete at the junior level.
In addition, the winner of the International freestyle has the right to claim a spot in this year’s competition. 🌟
Regional championship winners from competitions held after the 2025 Finnish championships can claim a spot for the 2026 Finnish championships.
So far, those who have earned a place have been sent an email on January 4th. 📧 Please contact us if you have not received the email.‼️
The winners of the spring regional championship and the top ranking (the one with the most points on April 6) will be sent an email on April 8th. After this, the winners will be contacted separately about the regional championship competitions.
Looking for a judge!
We are searching judges for our competition classes!
You can judge many, or only one class, and then stay and enjoy the rest of the event. You don’t have to judge all alone, because you can bring a friend as your assistant to help with the judging. 👯♀️
We are expecting good experience from judging showjumping- and western classes, and the ability to work individually. 🤝 Good English skills are desired, but you can also bring a translator with you. The jude does not have to be certified by the International Hobbyhorse Federation. We will be testing our judges with a small test before choosing them as a judge. 📝
For judges we are offering a free meal, entrance to the event and travel allowances up to 100€. 🤩
