This year, in addition to just judging and awarding, we wanted to make the show classes more visible to the public. That’s why we developed this new Show section.
The show part means presenting the horses to the audience. Each horse competing in the show classes in turn goes around the dressage arena with its performer. At the same time, the horse is told in the same way as it used to be told about the horses competing in the dressage classes. A short description of the horse has been requested from the owners of the horses.
The Show section takes place in the Southern riding arena and lasts 30 minutes, during which both show classes (horses & ponies) are presented separately. Each competing horse gets its own turn on the arena. The audience’s job is to participate in cheering and creating the atmosphere of the show!
The audience also has its own special task: to vote for the winner of the Audience favorite award. As usual, the horses placed in the BIS ring and who have earned their prize after the evaluations of our judges are awarded at the shows. But the Audience favorite is not dependent of the judges. The audience is free to vote their own favorite among all the horses and ponies competing in show classes.
The prize is awarded to a horse and pony competing in shows. The public can therefore vote for one of their favorites from both categories.
The show horses can be seen even after the Show section in the show area, and pictures of each horse can be found on the voting form.
Voting takes place in the Finnish championships via a QR code, which you can find, among other things, in the manual and in the Show area!
